My Life...

Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

Being Different from Others...

Being different is not all ways easy.
Sometimes you feel left out
Or you have no friends and no one to talk to.
You feel alone.
You feel that you want to fit in.
Sometimes you do whatever it takes to fit in.
Other times you scared of meeting new people.
Therefore, you do absolutely nothing.
Then again, maybe you want to be alone
And you're glad that you have nobody to talk to,
But you are really just lying to yourself.
You want a friend very bad but there is no one around.
Maybe, someday, you will find those friends you are looking for
Now just remember:

Reason for Success of Arrange Marriage

An International Summit “Confluence – 2008“ was arranged by Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad during 20th - 23rd November, 2008.

On 23rd, an interesting lecture was delivered by world’s famous Management Guru, Dr. Dipak Jain–Dean, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.

During this lecture he told an interesting thing showing the reason behind the success of Arrange Marriages in India. That thing I am sharing with u.

Once Dr. Dipak Jain was invited for Dinner, in a program, where world’s Top CEOs were present. On his table, CEO of Coca Cola was sitting on his right, CEO of P&G was in front and CEO of Wal-Mart was on his left.

CEO of Coke: “Dr., How the arrange marriage is possible as you Indians have? How they last long till whole life? Can you plz tell me something abt it, that how it happens?”

Dr. Dipak: “What do you do for successful merger of two companies?”

CEO : 1st the Investor Bankers meet. They propose a plan for merger.
They study the balance sheets, accounts, wealth and liabilities of both companies.
Then they visit each other’s company office and look the work style there.
Then they discuss abt the employees and work of both companies.
After all get in right direction, the CEO’s of both companies meet. CEO sign the merging Documents. Thus the process of merger gets over.

Dr. Dipak: “We also follow the same procedure for arrange marriage.
1st Investment Bankers (Parents) meet and put a proposal for marriage of their children.
Then they study the good & bad things of both families, ‘Sanskar’ of each family, living style, Financial Status of both families.
Then the go to each others home to know the living style and living standard.
After all found good and suitable, finally the 2 CEOs (Boy and Girl) meet each other. They discuss alone for some time. And the Merger process (Marriage) gets finalized. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THATS WHY ARRANGE MARRIAGES IN INDIA ARE SUCSESSFULL AND LAST LONG WHOLE LIFE.
